Youth Summer camp 2013
Our Summer camps for youths are designed for children between the age of 12 and 19 years. This is a fantastic opportunity for younger people to be introduced to the ancient craft of wood turning.
The course will consist of five three hour classes over a period of five days. The class size is limited to six students per class... so early booking is advisable.
Introduction to wood turning, health & safety, basic tool techniques to get you started, and plenty of shavings will be made.
After all the practise you have done yesterday we will now make a garden dibber.
Today our project will be to make a candlestick holder.
Today we are going to make a kitchen roll holder.
This is the last day and you will have a good basic knowledge of wood turning. Hopefully you may even want to take it up when you go back to school.
To finish of our course, today we are going to make our very own pen.
Cost of this course is €180 per person. This includes all materials and all items made on the course are going home with the student.
I look forward to introducing you to this wonderful craft.
This Course is run over a 5 day period, Monday to Friday. Class times are 9.30 am until 12.30 pm. Classes commence weekly beginning on the 8th of July. See the months of July and August in the calender below for more detail on dates:
